Part technocrat, part gypsy, part mountain goat, Jason is the “walker” in the He Walks, She Rocks* journey. Jason loves walking – whether it’s across a country or down to the pub – it is when he is at his most creative and most at peace. Some of the most special walks he has completed are:
Jason’s “day job” is working with charities and not-for-profit organizations as part of his company Five Stones. As a consultant, his work focuses on using technology, specifically the Internet, to build grassroots movements of support for issues and causes
“It is our footsteps that make the path.”
Originally from Saskatchewan, Jason has a Bachelors degree in Marketing and a Diploma in Graphic Design. He also has experience in activist documentary video production. Jason is a pilgrim, a fisherman and a gardener. He would like to be your Twitter buddy: http://www.twitter.com/jasonmeyers.
Originally from Orillia, ON, Bri-anne doesn’t have a day job and isn’t very good at walking. Actually, she’s kind of a klutz. Luckily, she’s a pretty nifty singer/songwriter who happens to own a guitar and various other instruments she likes to use for entertaining audiences around the country.
Bri-anne released her debut album, “these are all my friends…” in late 2009 to much critical acclaim (read: her mother liked it a lot). She has performed for audiences from East to West and has been heard in pubs, churches, street corners, subway cars, broken down buses, protest marches, and her shower. She’s been featured on CBC radio & television, various campus radio broadcasts and international films. Although she is the “rocker” in the He Walks She Rocks* journey, her voice has been described as more a mixture of melted chocolate and rose petals falling. Her “sound” would be considered “indie folk” or perhaps the result of Joan Baez and Regina Spektor getting together with Gordon Lightfoot and producing musical offspring. She also likes a dose of ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin for good measure, but saves those songs for late night karaoke parties.
Whatever she happens to sound like, her cat (Coffee Table), thinks she’s the bee’s knees and suggests you check out a show while she and Jason are in town.
In the mean time, you can visit Bri-anne’s website and listen to some of her songs online. Her most current musical project is called Life of a Singer/Songwriter: An Opera in 140 Charaters or Less. You can find it by clinking http://www.twitter.com/swannybee.

Yes, Coffee Table is his name and playing with your heart strings is his game (we mean, he really likes string!). Coffee Table will be looking after much of the He Walks, She Rocks* web presence while Jason and Bri-anne are on the road, especially their Facebook Page. This is where you can keep up to date with Jason while he’s on the trail, and find out if Bri-anne’s singing any flat notes. *meow*
CT enjoys long walks on the beach (just not too close to the water), food, snuggles, sleeping, more food, and more snuggles. He thinks Bri-anne is awesome and the exception to four legs good, two legs bad, but isn’t quite sure about that Jason fellow yet. He would like to be your Facebook friend. Unfortuantely, being a cat, he only communicates in lolspeak. Don’t worry though…we’re pretty sure you’re gonna be a quick study
